Another Personal Pressie
Here's my latest drawing. My Mum is a huge Stereophonics fan so I surprised her with a drawing of Kelly Jones and had it framed. I find personal presents that mean something to people are a lot more interesting and worth the effort than a trip to the shop for a box of chocolates, a CD or some jewellery. People appreciate it more. I'm planning on doing a lot of this for people for Christmas, much like what I did last year but a bit more personalised. Watch this space...

Time to get drawing...again...
On Mother's Day, I visited my favourite place local to where I'm from back in Yorkshire, which is Salt's Mill in Saltaire where they display David Hockey's art and sell artist equipment amongst other things. So, I bought myself a little pad and some good pencils and today, finally, I got round to drawing again and here's the result

Win a Trip to Madrid!
Here's a taste of some work I have been making for myself at work. I saw the opportunity to do a bit of promotional material at work. Customers have a chance to win a trip to Madrid through purchasing currency through us and as people still seem to have Winter blues..I have designed a bright poster and created a 'summer holiday' display..I'll post a picture of that once I get one! Here's the poster...it's very basic but if it was too fancy we'd get complaints...seriously.

Found
Wow! After having a right good old nosey through old images on the computer I found even more uni work! Didn't realise any was saved on here after I thought I'd lost everything on my deceased laptop.

This is part of my campaign I submitted for the MPA Roses competition

Excuse the spelling mistake..ahem.

A slightly more demure invitation for my friend's leaving do

Come on you blues!
As a Carlisle United season ticket holder, I was delighted to be asked to come up with some posters advertising football matches by one of the directors and in return received a free season ticket..result! Here's a couple of them I designed for the club

It's a great feeling seeing the work you have done in the public eye and seeing people look at them :-)

Cards and stuff...
Well then, I've not posted here in what seems like forever so it needs a long overdue overhaul blog-wise. So here we go...
Thought I'd share with you some work I've done since my uni days.
I design cards for friends and family instead of buying cards for occasions as it makes it more personal and it means you're not getting them the same card as everyone else. Here's a few examples of some of the cards I've designed for Christmas last year.

They are pretty basic and a common theme, but thought I'd have a go myself and created them to suit the personalities of the people I was sending them to.
I've also had friends ask me to design things for them, like invitations for example. Here's one of them I made for my friend's leaving do before she went to Australia for the year

As you can tell, she's a bit of a cheeky one!
